Recruitment

We directly employ our staff who visits clients or service users home and so our staff is subject to a robust recruitment process including at least two references, Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) enhanced disclosure checks, as well as checks against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) register and the Protection of Children Act (POCA) list.   In addition, our staff is thoroughly vetted during the recruitment process to ensure that they have the right skills, attitude, and personality for homecare work.

Training

Internal training

We use the care certificate package to induct our staff in addition to the quality training packages from Mulberry House (professional health and social care training provider) to provide in-house induction and training for our staff.

All Care Workers undergo mandatory training Programme which includes courses on but not limited to the followings:

• Health and safety, Fire and Safety, Medication Awareness, Moving and Handling,
• First Aid at work, Infection control, Safeguarding vulnerable adults, Adult abuse
• Person-centred care, Role of the care worker, Communication skills, Report writing
• Food Hygiene, COSHH, Lone working, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling, Dementia

External training

Our Carers are sent on professional training that will enable them to meet the needs of the individual client they support.
